I like to see if there is an illustration behind the listed names in verses.
From Neh 8:4 Ezra = "help" Mattithiah = "gift of Yahweh" Shema = "hear" Anaiah = "Yahweh has answered" Uriah or Urijah = "Yahweh is my light (flame)" Hilkiah = "my portion is Yahweh" Maaseiah = "work of Yahweh" Pedaiah = "Yahweh has ransomed" Mishael = "who is what God is" Malchijah or Malchiah = "my king is Yahweh" Hashum = "rich" Hashbadana = "considerate judge" Zechariah = "Yahweh remembers" Meshullam = "friend"
Chapter 9 makes the Way of life and Way of death so clear. It even uses illustrations from their past. These ways are established, and proven many times over.
Should we expect a different Way? Did the Messiah show, teach, or live a new Way to the Father or did he magnify, lift up, and exemplify the Way of life?
Seriously. Any thoughts?
