I think there's a lesson to be learned from Nehemiah 3:1. The high priest and his brothers rebuilt the sheep gate.

Spoiler alert! Y'all probably know this but I think it's cool. Nehemiah was most likely the cup bearer to the king of Queen Hadassah, that is, Esther.
I think chapter 1 is a fine example of humility, prayer, fasting, confession, and repentance. It identifies His servants and people as those who turn back to Him, guard His commandments and do them.
