Finally got caught up the other day! Life happened. I was challenged when David was addressing the assembly and said that his son Solomon was young and inexperienced, and the “work is great, because the temple is not for man but for the LORD God” made me think that some things we do are insignificant but raising human souls that God created - that “work is great”. I feel, well not young, but inexperienced and I know I need to rely on God more for the raising of my kids that I currently do.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that! Heavenly Father please help us.
ReplyDeleteWhen reading this charge from David to his son I can only imagine the hope and love he felt. David was shown the most spectacular edifice to be conducted by human hands, given the plans for it and all it contained. His hearts desire was to accomplish the work of glorifying his Heavenly Father in a way the whole world could see and participate in.
Now he's passing his hearts desire on to his son along with the recipe of success.
1Ch 28:9 ASV And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Jehovah searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: If thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
This is the recipe of success for all of mankind. Let's be strong and do it!
