Seven oil-filled lamps, burning all day, every day...in a place with no camping store or even grocery store to get some EVOO...nope, they likely had to *make* their own oil from crushing their own olives.
ReplyDeleteSame with the *six pounds* of flour (according to one commentary) used to make each one of the 12 loaves of challah bread each week. That flour didn't come from the WalMarts; I wonder if they made it with manna? 🤔
...that's probably the key here, and with everything in their life - a continual dependence on the LORD to provide the means to survive and to thrive, no matter where life took them. I need to develop more of that, and more of the gratitude that comes along with it...
